Do you have debts? Are you unable to pay these debts on time because you are spending more than you are earning? Then this article is just right for you! The say seven is a lucky number and seven is the number of tips you will need to get rid of that debts that is slowly leading you to bankruptcy.
1. Stop being in denial! Do not waste your time thinking that these debts will just go away. Face the truth and tell someone about it, be it your friend or your family. You will need all the help you can get. Not necessarily lending you the money to pay your debts off, but to help you think thoroughly on how to budget and spend your money wisely. And a constant reminder that you are on a budget helps too.
2. Resist the temptation! Cut off all the unnecessary expenses. Do not fall for the next item on sale. You need to analyze which item is a 'need' and which item is a 'want'. Delay spending for the 'want' items, perhaps you can think of it as a reward if you get rid of all your debts.
3. Buy cheaper things. You do not need to buy branded clothes for work. Remember, that how you carry yourself is what matters. Looking rich in your sassy outfits while loan sharks follow your trail is a pretty nasty sight. Also, try canvassing online, you will get reviews and suggestions from loads of people before settling for an item you might later regret.
4. Keep track of where you spend your money on. It helps to have a list of expenses on hand; it will keep you from wandering to that blissful thought that you have money to spend.
5. Stop using credit cards and start paying in cash. Credit cards companies tricks you into believing that you can spend less, when the truth is you really got yourself in to spending more in little amounts each month. Some has gotten fooled by the thought that they are spending less just because it delays the real amount to be spent. Be wise and avoid these mistakes, but keep a low-interest credit card for emergencies. Just for emergencies.
6. Have a plan B. Do a garage sale, you can sell old books, clothes or the present from Aunt Jessica you hardly ever touched. There is an old saying that junk to you can very well be treasures to others. Or anything at all to help you make extra cash. If you have an extra room you never really use, you can post an ad and rent the place. It does not hurt to earn extra cash.
